Here at Ross Tyser Custom Knives we strive to provide for you the client a wide choice of materials to create YOUR perfect knife. From various stainless steel choices such as 440-C and AEB-L to Pattern Welded Damascus steel as well. Damascus steel can be forged in many standard patterns such as Ladder, Twist and Raindrop to name a few. My preferred combination for Damascus is 1084 and 15n20 steels, this combination gives a good strong blade with excellent edge retention and a very good contrast to highlight the pattern in the Damascus.
